HFSRB Annual Hospital Questionnaire – Informational Call Feb. 28
The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board (HFSRB) announced that the annual hospital questionnaire (AHQ) was released Feb. 16. This year’s questionnaire includes the implementation of P.A. 99-0767, the new Hospital Supplier Diversity reporting requirement, which requires hospitals with greater than 100 beds to report certain construction-related goal and actual spending information for female-owned, minority-owned and small business enterprises above the capital threshold. The Act requires applicable hospitals to report beginning with its fiscal year that begins after Feb. 12, 2017. With that date, IHA believes that few hospitals will be required to provide supplier diversity information in their AHQ.
HFSRB, however, is asking hospitals to voluntarily report certain diversity activities in their questionnaire. Information in which HFSRB is seeking voluntary reporting includes: potential projects in which a hospital will be seeking supplier diversity, plans to alert and encourage these entities to seek business with a hospital and a point of contact at the hospital for these entities. While this is voluntary, IHA encourages members to provide this information if possible to highlight the work that is currently being done in this area.
In order to provide a platform to get questions answered about this new reporting component as well as other questions about the questionnaire, IHA will be hosting a conference call on Wednesday, Feb. 28, from 2-3 p.m. The dial-information is: (888) 677-6685. Representatives from HFSRB will be on the call to explain the questionnaire and answer questions that members might have. Information about Hospital Supplier Diversity can be found at the IHA website.
