The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Hospital Conditions of Participation (CoP) manual require hospitals to protect and promote patient rights. What does this mean for your day-to-day operations?

When it comes to the 542-page CoP manual, you can never be too knowledgeable. This fast-paced five-part webinar series, accreditation expert Sue Dill Calloway, RN, MSN, JD, will ensure you fundamentally understand the sections on patient rights, restraint and seclusion. Explore challenging standards, identify proposed and updated standards and guidelines, and learn practical compliance strategies to help you comply with the CoPs in 2019.

The second webinar will cover:

  • Compliance strategies for challenging standards like health literacy, restraint and seclusion, informed consent, and grievance policies;
  • Standards with high deficiency rates; and
  • Recent CMS guidance on hot topics, including ligature risks, weapons and visitation rights.
