Mark Deaton is Senior Vice President and General Counsel of the Illinois Health and Hospital Association (IHA), which represents over 200 hospitals and 50 health systems. Mark and the IHA legal department provide legal and compliance advice to IHA and its ten affiliated entities. He also assists in the development of IHA’s positions on public policy issues affecting hospitals and their communities, and in the advocacy of those positions at the federal, state, and local levels of government. Mark also serves as Executive Director of the 600-member Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys.
