Learn how to create a healthier food environment within the hospital and the community. A regional director from Presence Resurrection Medical Center will highlight sodium reduction initiatives it undertook through a grant program in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Program, Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and IHA.

A clinical dietitian from Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis will discuss its recently launched Fresh For You Market, a grocery store featuring only healthy food options and designed to encourage hospital staff and community members to choose healthier foods, as well as create access to healthy foods in a food desert. You will also hear about education on healthy recipes and new ways to use ingredients.


Upon completion of this program, you will be able to identify:

  • Strategies to encourage lower sodium intake to improve employee health and population health and wellness;
  • Effects of high-sodium intake; and
  • Ways to educate employees and the community on healthy foods and recipes.

Molly Robinson MS, RD, CD, Outpatient Clinical Dietitian, Eskenazi Health Center Grassy Creek, Indianapolis
A registered dietitian for 12 years, Robinson is currently part of the Outpatient Clinical Dietitian team at Eskenazi Health. She is passionate about working with seniors and specializes in gerontological nutrition. Robinson enjoys using past experiences as a retail dietitian to bring nutritional concepts and healthful recipes to Eskenazi guests and employees through Fresh For You Market.

Mariana Wrzosek, MPH, BSN, BS, RN, CPN, CHES, Regional Director, Community Health Integration, Faith Community Nursing (FCN) Ministry, Presence Resurrection Medical Center, Chicago
A healthcare professional for 35 years, Wrzosek recently became a certified health education specialist. She is passionate about prevention and wellness and serves as regional director for community health integration for Presence Health. Her work empowers community members to take charge of their health and responds to the health needs of the community. Wrzosek has been published in Critical Pathways in Cardiology.
