Taught by Illinois’ own JCR consultant, this workshop will focus on maintaining compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) hospital accreditation requirements.

This program is a great opportunity whether you’re new to accreditation or a seasoned professional needing a brush-up. Join your colleagues from throughout Illinois and learn from expert faculty.

This workshop is part of JCR’s CSR program, a unique subscription-based program that pairs your staff—both onsite and offsite—with Joint Commission accreditation experts.


The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast and networking time. The course will begin at 9 a.m. after a brief welcome from David Strickland, MPH, Assistant Vice President of Education and Knowledge Strategies at IHA, and Sarah Wilkinson, MBA-HA, BSN, RN, CJCP, JCR’s Lead CSR Consultant in Illinois.

Lunch will be provided. The course will adjourn at 3:30 p.m. with a raffle drawing.


At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Identify risk points in hospital services that can be indicative of patient safety and compliance concerns.
  • Discuss the unique process and structures needed for achieving re-accreditation and deemed status.
  • Identify and discuss compliance strategies to remain in compliance with the top 10 challenging TJC accreditation standards.
  • Discuss recent changes to the accreditation processes.
  • Review strategies to evaluate your organization’s ongoing compliance with accreditation standards.

Sarah Wilkinson, MBA, BSN, RN, CJCP
JCR’s Lead CSR Consultant in Illinois
With more than 10 years of experience in the acute hospital setting, Wilkinson draws from her extensive experience with hospital quality improvement and accreditation activities. As lead CSR consultant for JCR, she works with hospitals and health systems in Illinois and across the nation to assess and maintain their compliance with TJC standards and accreditation requirements.

Wilkinson earned her Master of Business Administration in Health Administration from Benedictine University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rockford University. She holds an Associate of Science from Rock Valley College.
