The Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network, along with the Illinois Department of Public Health, and the Illinois Health and Hospital Association are pleased to present this event.


$99 for both days per individual or $60 for one day per individual. Payment is non-refundable and must be made prior to the event.

During this two-day event, you will learn current information on diabetes prevention and control, motivational interviewing, reimbursement, recruitment, oral health, and medication management. Day two will feature a special tract for school nurses, as well as an opportunity to meet diabetes vendors. This symposium is co-sponsored by the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network, Illinois Department of Public Health, and the Illinois Health and Hospital Association. Details are available here.

This two-day symposium aims to increase knowledge among healthcare professionals in Illinois. The learning objectives for this conference are as follows:

  • Describe the landscape of diabetes evidence, research, policy, and practice in Illinois and nationwide
  • Recognize the most current Diabetes Standards of Care, including medication management
  • Present best practices in the prevention and management of diabetes in pediatric and adult patients
  • Identify methods for effective and culturally competent communication to persons with diabetes
