During the COVID-19 crisis, Off Their Plate (OTP), a grass-roots organization founded by a Harvard medical student, is providing meals to frontline healthcare workers. OTP made its first delivery in Chicago on April 13, feeding 175 physicians, nurses, and staff members at Lawndale Christian Health Center. Its goal is to feed over 900 medical staff by the end of this week, with at least 1,000 meals to be provided next week in Chicago. OTP has raised more than $2.2 million, onboarded 32 restaurant partners and will serve nearly 23,000 meals to 86 hospital sites across nine cities nationwide. Online contributions can be made here.
