CMS 340B Survey Due May 15
April 29, 2020
On April 24, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) moved forward with its survey of the 340B Drug Pricing Program participating hospitals. Specifically, the survey collects actual acquisition costs for specified covered outpatient drugs (SCODs). Hospitals participating in the 340B Drug Pricing Program have until May 15 to respond and will be asked to provide information on the average acquisition costs for SCODs purchased during fourth quarter 2018 and first quarter 2019.
For more information, see CSM’ survey documents and instructions here. Both IHA and AHA urged CMS to delay the survey given the COVID-19 national health emergency; however, the agency decided to move forward with their planned data collection.
