A March 5 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Clinician Outreach and Communication Activity (COCA) Call will discuss what clinicians can do to prepare for COVID-19 including: identifying persons under investigation, applying infection prevention and control measures, assessing risks for exposures, optimizing the use of personal protective equipment supplies, and managing and caring for patients (inpatient and at home). The call takes place from 1-2 p.m. CT.

Presentation materials will be available on demand a few hours after the call. Due to expected high demand for this call, the CDC asks that participants access the call in group format to maximize participation.
The latest World Health Organization situation report revealed nine new countries reporting COVID-19 cases: Brazil, Denmark, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Norway, Pakistan, Romania, and North Macedonia. Globally there are more than 82,000 confirmed cases, with more than 78,000 in China, and more than 3,600 outside China in 46 countries.
