By 2030, 20% of Americans will be 65 or older. Thought leader Tom Koulopoulos will examine what this means for hospitals and health systems in “The New Healthcare Ecosystem,” an IHA webinar on Sept. 3 from noon to 1 p.m.
Koulopoulos, chairman of the Delphi Group, identifies the aging population as one of his “Ten Culprits,” or the most pervasive challenges facing healthcare providers.
“An older population is a more vulnerable population, and [the COVID-19] crisis is giving us a glimpse of what healthcare will look like in 10 years,” Koulopoulos told Forbes in June.
In his session, he’ll share evidence-based tools and strategies to navigate the changing landscape, including:
- Payer-provider relations;
- Supply chains; and
- Administrative burden.
