Illinois COVID-19 Update

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) today announced 1,842 new COVID-19 cases and 62 deaths. The total number of cases in the state is 27,575 in 92 counties, with a total of 1,134 deaths.

At today’s press briefing, Governor J.B. Pritzker announced the suspension of in-person learning at all Illinois schools (public and private) for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.

The Governor said the McCormick Place Alternate Care Facility currently has five low-acuity COVID-19 patients.

IDPH has issued a document clarifying previous guidance on the use of imported K95 masks.
