NGS Announces Incorrect Denials for COVID-19 Claims

National Government Services (NGS) announced incorrect COVID-19 claim denials due to an internal processing issue. This issue affects Medicare Part A providers, including home health and hospice providers, billing the following claim codes: C9803, G2023, G2024, G2025, U0001-U0004, 0099U, 86328, 86769, and 87635. NGS is in the process of resolving the issue, and estimates a resolution date of Aug. 6. No provider action is necessary at this time, but providers are encouraged to monitor the Production Alerts section of the NGS website for status information.
