Progress Report Learning Collaborative
The purpose of the Improvement Action Network (IAN) is to provide a cohort of healthcare organizations with the opportunity to translate their data from the Racial Equity in Healthcare Progress Report (Progress Report) into action. By the end of this eight-week design sprint your organization will be equipped with a Racial Equity Charter that will set the strategic course of action for your team moving forward.
Organizations will complete the Progress Report prior to the IAN and will then be led through a peer-to-peer learning collaborative aimed at identifying processes to put in place based off of the organization’s Progress Report data.
We will be guiding hospitals to create strategic action plans through a Racial Equity Charter aimed at impacting at least one of the four domains in the Progress Report. To learn more about these domains (Our People, Our Patients, Our Organization and Our Community) please see our Health Disparities Resource Hub.
This eight-week IAN will be held from June 15 to Aug. 3 and will target organizations across Illinois. At the conclusion of the IAN organizations will have:
-
Identified areas of opportunity to target based off of their Progress Report submission
-
Completed process evaluation tools and action planning documents
-
Prepared a Racial Equity Charter which details the organization's commitments moving forward
Please read this Study Participant Information Sheet, which we ask about in the final form item below. Your consent is encouraged but not mandatory to participate in the IAN.
We look forward to your engagement in the Progress Report IAN. If you have any questions, please contact us at healthequity@team-iha.org.
