Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital

At Katherine Shaw Bethea (KSB) Hospital in Dixon, these unsung heroes are working tirelessly to care for patients during COVID-19:

  • Linda Clemen, RN, BSN, MS, Vice President/Chief Nursing Officer, created the organization's COVID-19 plan, supported by staff input. Throughout the pandemic, she has been a champion for Respiratory Therapy staff, Nursing staff, Infection Preventionists and other team members. With a calm, supportive demeanor, Clemen is committed to expanding inpatient capacity and preparing for surges.
  • Pam Mohr, Housekeeping Lead, valiantly leads her staff on the hazardous journey of cleaning COVID-19 rooms, from the emergency department to operating rooms. She assists staff with complex requirements for personal protective equipment—and always has a positive attitude. Special note: Governor Pritzker recognized Mohr in his Dec. 2 COVID-19 briefing.

KSB Hospital is an independent, non-profit acute care facility serving Lee County in northwest Illinois. KSB also has a regional network of primary care clinics and a multispecialty physician group.
